Syphon pipe, WS, LWS and UWS Series

WS, LWS & UWS Series Syphons protect pressure instruments, gauges, switches, and transmitters from high temperature process fluids (e.g., steam) while mitigating potential hazards from rapid pressure fluctuations. Three types are available, with maximum working pressures up to 6,000 psig (414 bar) and temperatures to 850°F (454°C). Standard materials: 304SS and 316SS (others upon request). Manufactured under stringent quality control to ensure industry-leading reliability.

WS, LWS and UWS Series syphon pipe
Syphon pipe Maximum working temperature: 850°F (454°C).
Working pressure up to: 6000 psig (414 bar),  Multiply the working pressure by the elevated temperature factors to get the working pressure
Standard materials is 316 SS and 304 SS, other materials are available upon request.

Applications of the pressure gauge syphon

Cooling element for protection from excessive heating of liquids, gases and vapours
Protection from pressure spikes and pulsations
Direct process connection of pressure measuring instruments or in combination with other instrumentation accessories (e.g. valves)

PULSATION DAMPENERS AND SYPHONS
On steam service, it is desirable to prevent the live steam from entering the sensing element, which could cause temperature damage. Such prevention is accomplished by installing a coil pipe siphon between the gauge and the process connection.
