Insulated tubing-TIT Series

Introduction

Insulated tubing is a thermally insulated transportation line suitable for steam, gas or liquid transport.

  • Metal process tube
  • Moisture-resistant, non-wicking, inorganic fibrous glass thermal insulation
  • Weather protective, flame retardant, lead-free, low-temperature PVC jacket

Tubing, insulation and outer jacket materials are selected to meet the specific application.

The bundles are designed to maintain an average outer jacket temperature below -20°F (-29°C) at continuous operating temperatures up to 400°F (204°C).

Applications for this product:

  • Steam supply lines for lines with high operating or low blow-down temperature
  • Gas or liquid transport lines with high cleanout or run temperature

Tubing
Welded or Seamless Type 316 and Type 316L meeting ASTM A-269 or ASTM A-213
A-213 EAW (except average wall) for special applications
A wide range of high temperature tubing materials are available.

TIT Series Fibrous Glass Insulated Tubing offers excellent heat insulation and corrosion resistance, featuring a bright annealed internal surface and machined-finish external surface. It can be used with FITOK 6D series tube fittings, offering a 4:1 safety factor for the tubing and connection part of fitting and tubing. Made with stainless steel or copper tubing, available sizes range from 1/4″ to 1 1/4″ (6 mm to 32 mm) in both straight and coiled tubing options. TIT Series is ideal for thermal insulation in industrial piping systems to prevent rapid medium temperature changes during transport.
